We are quite simply the best fresh produce procurement team in the world! GATE Inc. has assembled the top people in each field relevant to fresh produce export. Technical, Packaging, Quality Control, Sustainability, Supermarket Retail, Transportation, and Data Management; we picked the best in each of those fields. Joseph Mark Buhl, came from one of the premier export shippers to the UK for the last 15 years; Ontario International Inc. There, he was the Procurement and Grower Relations Director handling the vast and diverse supply group. Stone fruit, Vegetables, Sweet Potato, Cherries, and Berries; Mark was right in the middle of it all, and his reputation with growers has been what has propelled his success in this field. Felipe Illanes, has the packaging experience to find the right pack style and materials for your product to make the ride to your facility. He has accreditation in multiple sustainability schemes, he will put together audits to evaluate your purchases, and advise the best choice. Whether it is sourcing packaging, with a lowered carbon footprint or working with the farmer to seamlessly integrate your packaging into the pack line. His goal is to reduce costs, bring awareness to packaging issues, and lower labor fees on the re-style at destination; he is the one to accomplish this! Adam Morrison, comes to us from Whole Foods Market; where he was a category Director and Buyer for fresh produce. This experience is invaluable and allows us to state that our list of farmer relations is second to none! Just imagine having the buyer from the most recognized, high quality supermarket, catapult your procurement program to success! James Malins, formerly from Mack Multiples where he retired a short time ago. He came to the United States to help consult USA farmers about compliance with European retailer food safety schemes. His wealth of understanding in the technical field is key and his practical experience as a farmer; help him to translate the needs of the two parties more accurately.
